Howdy folks! It’s Mag-O-Llama here! It’s been so long since I’ve had the chance to chat with you all. Wow, can you believe it’s already June? Normally during this time, we would be meeting our new staff, working on lesson plans, training in danger areas, and getting the grounds ready for all of you to be here in a few short weeks.
Although camp is not running like it normally would this year, a small group of us have been staying here this summer to provide you with the best online camp experience that we can offer! Let’s start off with what the crew has been up to this week.
PD George arrived at camp last week and is staying in piglet, rounding out our full PD team! Our newest PD’s, James and Celie, are testing out our new go pro with the llamas (they are up to something awesome, stay tuned!) They are also working on our Instagram content and creating scripts for our exiting videos coming soon! PD Aileen is working on schedules, editing video content, and reaching out to staff who will be lending a hand this summer.
The rest of our staff is also working hard this week! Megs is back in the animal barn and the llama pen and has been feeding us lots of good hay. She’s also been collecting chicken eggs that our wonderful chickens have been laying! Lucia and Cassie have been working hard in the office, and are sending you all something in the mail soon! Keep an eye out! AL has been taking care of the grounds here at camp, with the help of Brillo, and is making the grass look beautiful again. In Al’s free time, he is also training his new pup Allie with the help of his other well-loved dog, Opie! Maggie is back as well this summer, and is helping out in the office, too!
Over in the kitchen, all of our staff have been putting their chef hats on and have been cooking meals for one another. With the help of Carmi, Phille, and Tui, we’ve been managing to have great meals on the table. The food has been great, but we really miss the true kitchen hero’s, Chris and Lilian. What was your favorite camp meal?? Mine is lazy day pizza scraps (:
