Sadie the Llama here with an update!
Big things are happening around here (as always!). Counselors have found out their cabin groups and are diving into the nitty gritty of cabin preparation. They’re learning about their campers, planning their classes and getting ready to decorate their cabins according to their cabin themes. Speaking of cabin themes, ready to get the low down? Here we go:
  • The Lunar Loons
  • The Avalon Enigmas
  • The Wombles Wombats
  • French Quarter Fairies
  • Gimme Shelter Charcuterie Boards
  • Paquatahnee Popstars
  • Valhalla Explorers
  • Shangri-La Shirley Temples
  • Bermuda Triangle Beach Bums
  • Forbidden Planet Fanny Packs
  • Fiddler’s Green Fruit Baskets
  • Camelot Cafe
  • Espionage Mahal (Taj)
  • Haley’s Comet Cavalier’s

Here are some photos from lesson planning a couple nights ago:

Last night was quite an evening here in the Valley. It almost seemed like Hollywood landed in our little slice of paradise, as our Staff gathered in the Rec Hall to show off their talents, to see if they could impress our MCs, and become the NEXT BIG THING to hit Netflix. Molly had us on our feet with her stirring acapella performance, Jake rocked a Shel Silverstein poem, and Sam was the Apple of our Eye sharing her love for her home state fruit! There were dances, stand up comedy, a rock band… and Peter and his crew had us rolling with laughter informing us how they might “fix” all the broken foods that desperate customers brought to the shop. Campers… don’t worry, you don’t have to wait until this all drops on Netflix, I bet many of these acts will make their way to the Staff Talent Show during an evening program soon. Stay Tuned!
