Ahoy!
For those who didn’t catch the blog, a quick recap from our spectacular lazy day yesterday 🙂 In the morning, campers kicked off the day with spirited cabin cleanups and in the process, made some themed preparations for ‘inspections’ carried out in camp’s creative way – via two musical artists touring cabins in search of the best place for their next big jam!
While Avalon earned the stamp of ‘cleanest and most hospitable’, other quirky distinctions were made: messiest (Forbidden – by far!), best paper towel display (nice Taj!), most hoarded toilet-paper rolls (that’s you Valhalla!) and most eco-friendly (cheers Camelot!).
By then, the sun couldn’t help but climb out from behind the clouds and all campers enjoyed some warm lazy pool time featuring reading and lawn games.
That afternoon, the older campers enjoyed an energetic bowling outing (see photos below!) while our younger campers romped around for a fun dinosaur-themed day in the backyard.
In the evening, everyone gathered for a vibey performance by the talented folk band, the Half Moon Jug Band, presenting classics like Country Road alongside unique numbers (such as the Tuna Noodle Casserole Song). Campers had a blast singing and dancing along! (See photos below)
Today we returned for another busy day of classes (our fourth if you can believe it!). And on the lineup for tonight: the hotly-anticipated Taylor-Swift themed Eras Dance! Besides plenty of tunes from T.S. and others, there will be booth-style activities like trivia, Guess the Taylor Swift Song, tractor rides and more.
Talk soon!
Sincerely,
