Sadie the Llama, back again!
The first campers have begun to arrive! Our AWACs arrived yesterday and have started their training. They were introduced to staff at our first camp meeting last night. We’re so excited to have them here!
Last night was the long awaited, first of the summer: Lobster Banquet and Staff Pinegrove! Staff shared in the camp tradition of flying lobster juice, scooping Ben and Jerry’s and slurping down mussels and clams. It was a lively, delicious meal! After that, on very full bellies, we walked together up Tipi Hill and spent the evening gathered around the fire at Pinegrove. Staff sang songs, read poems, and shared stories. We can’t wait to share this space with the campers in just a couple days when we head up there all together for opening Pinegrove.
Things are buzzing with energy around here! This afternoon counselors spent their time doing the final preparations in anticipation of tomorrow. Bunk tags, chore wheels, and welcome signs were made. We can’t believe that arrival day is TOMORROW! Can you?!
