Hiya Folks and Happy July 1st! It’s Mag-O-Llama and I’m back with your daily update!
Yesterday, one of our favorite counselors from last summer, Ella, made a video showing us how to make a DIY plant hanger! Click the link to see her awesome video and then attempt to do it at home, with your parents permission, of course! Tag us on Instagram or Facebook and show us your creations!
Ella’s video got me thinking, I sure do miss having art classes in the animal barn and Buckhorn. (for new campers, these are the buildings on camp that we have art classes in!) What are some of your favorite art classes here at camp? What projects would you like to see here at camp that you have not tried yet? From glass beads, art journaling, and screen printing, to tie dying and dark room photography, stained glass, and pottery!! There are so many ways to stay creative and artistic this summer.
Here are a few easy ideas to get your creative juices flowing:
1.) Make an art journal with old notebooks or paper you find around the house! This can be a great way to express your feelings and emotions through creative ways!
2.) Tie Dye at home with food coloring!
3.) Make friendship bracelets and send them to friends/cabin mates!
Have a great a wonderful day and get crafting!
Peace, Love, and Llama Hugs!
