Hello hello hello!! Hummingbird here on this glorious day in the Valley, it’s the first day of our second round of classes! The sun is shining, the breeze is blowing, the pig is snorting, and we are ready to start our fun new activities!! Campers signed up for their next round of classes yesterday during pool activities, and now we are GETTING STARTED!!
We have many of the same wonderful classes that were offered the last two weeks, like mountain biking, photography, and stained glass. But we also have a bunch of fun new ones, like Hydration Nation (reminding you all to take a sip of water!), Junior Engineers (who built an amazing marshmallow and dry spaghetti structure this morning), and Camp Helpers (who go around and work on fix-it projects)!! We’ll update you all on specific classes over the next two weeks, so stay tuned!!
Last night we enjoyed a faaaaabulous performance by Kim and Reggie, everyone’s favorite folk and social justice singers!! They sang all the old favorites like Solar Power, Trampin’, Wade in the Water, and It Really Isn’t Garbage ‘Til You Mix It All Together!! This morning at meeting they graced us with two more fan favorites, If I Had a Hammer, and We’re All One Family! Thanks for joining us, Kim and Reggie!! Check out the photos of their performance 🙂
Today after our wonderful first day of the second round of classes, we’ll enjoy our beautiful dinner and we’ll gather for electives!! Stay tuned tomorrow to hear all about it! In the meantime, I’m off to scout out leftover marshmallows from junior engineers!
Always hungry,
Hummingbird
