A big Bagel Sunday salutations to you all!
Sadie the llama here, reporting on this absolutely stunning Sunday morning here in the Valley. Big happenings all around camp- the ropes crew have been training with the folks at High 5 Adventure Learning Center; the lifeguards have been spending their days at the pool (fun!) and the lake (funner!) with our very own Phillie and visiting expert Wendy and going through the American Red Cross lifeguard and waterfront certification course; the horse staff have been getting equine-ted (get it?) with their four-legged co-workers, including a very friendly giant named Joe; the video staff have been setting up their loft studio with Chase and starting to film snippets of the goings-on.
On the artsy side of camp, crews have set up the stained glass, glass, screen printing, and recording studios, done massive organization projects in the Upper Carriage House, the costume closet, and the darkroom. In addition to setting up and getting familiar with our equipment, the arts folks have been decorating camp’s beloved apple tree in the backyard. It has unfortunately caught a disease, so we’re sending it out in style with lights, gorgeous ornaments made by the glass studios, colorful garlands, hopes, dreams, and more. We want it to look spectacular for your arrival, and glorious all summer!

Evenings have been similarly busy- our wonderful and talented thespians have been acting as our PROMOS crew each evening, which have been filled with a mix of chill time in the backyard playing games like cornhole, bocci ball, and can jam, along with staff fan favorites like Big Circle Night (a night where we sit in, you guessed it, a square! Just kidding, of course a circle, and get to know each other better), and Booth Night (which is where we learn the camp lingo, what Trip/Lazy days are, what even are Interest Groups anyway, and all sorts of helpful stuff). Check out Elise and Molly dressed as Fuzzy Time below! SPEAKING OF FUZZY, the kittens have arrived and hoo boy are they cute! The 3 Mouse-keteers are settling in well and are super cuddly. Perfect scenario. Check below for more photos of all the happenings, and don’t forget to check out the frequent insta and facebook posts for more behind-the-scenes peeks!
