After a crowd-pleasing Bagel Sunday breakfast (the excitement never gets old) and rewarding third day of classes, the day culminated with the dazzlingly frightening, spectacularly fun HVC classic: THE WHEEL OF MISFORTUNE!!!
The perfectly creepy theme this year was (cue for the big reveal…) Barbie!!! Here, though, not a whole lot of pink or sun in sight!
After a scrumptious dinner aptly featuring fortune cookies, campers gathered in the scary dimness of the Rec Hall to partake in intense activities including flossing a sibling’s teeth and eating out of a baby diaper.
Campers also came across Gruesome, the creature seen only on wheel night that selects campers for the games…
Ultimately, each cabin won (priceless!?) prizes sacrificially offered by our counselors ranging from homemade brownie treats and nail-painting to hair dyeing and costume-dressing for a day! Yet of course, the Wheel wouldn’t be the *wheel* deal without the unfortunate ones who got PIED :’)
After hearing the prize announcements in morning meeting today and another day of classes, we’re prepping our spiffiest clothes and brightest smiles for the Fancy Dance!!
Besides lots of dancing, the evening will also feature donkey-walking, flower-crown making, waltzing and more. More pictures and details tomorrow!
With pep and pride,
