Happy Palentine’s Day!!

Thursday, February 13th, 2020

Greetings, folks!! Hummingbird here! The world seems to be covered in pink and red this week, in honor of my most favoritest holiday…. can you guess what it is? That’s right, PALENTINE’S DAY!!! A day to reach out to pals old and new and thank them for being in our lives! And what better friends to reach out to than CAMP FRIENDS???

There’s something super special about camp friendships. In fact, I was just talking to my pal Otis the Guard Llama about that just today!! I asked him, “Otis, why do you think camp friendships are so different than any other friendships?” And he said, “You know, Hummingbird, I think there’s something about being in nature with other people and animals, without any technology to distract us from just being ourselves. There are very few places on earth we get to build relationships so authentically!” And you know what? I think he’s right!!

So whether you’ve known your camp friends for years and years, or you only spent two weeks together back in the 90s, or even if the camp friend that comes to mind is a llama, send a special camp friend a little extra love and gratitude this Palentine’s Day!!

And remember to spread that camp love all throughout the year!

Lovin’ my pals,
Hummingbird 🙂
