Greetings! Cara B. here with a quick update on another beautiful, sunny day at HVC.
Last night, we gathered in the Rec Hall for a magical performance from Peter Boie! It was absolutely amazing- there were card tricks, disappearing handkerchiefs, and much more! The night ended with singing some favorite Hidden Valley songs before tucking in early after a looonnngg lazy day.
This morning, we headed over to the dining hall with full water bottles and sunscreen-ed faces for an egg bar breakfast!! Everyone was thrilled- it was the perfect way off to start another day of classes. This morning at meeting, Meg reminded us to stay in the shade and grab a spray from the sprinkler on our way to and from classes. In leu of a birthday, we celebrated waterfront director Aileen and ropes director David’s wedding anniversary! At the end of meeting, Forbidden Planet summoned the spirit of their counselors and performed some hilarious impressions. Right now, everyone is enjoying the second to last day of this round of classes- finishing up projects and preparing for Sharing Night- Mama Iguana and I can’t wait to see what everyone has been working on!
Tonight is Bazzinga!, a super fun and unique evening program. The fun begins at evening meeting, where campers will close their eyes and open them to reveal a special surprise…Mama Iguana will tell you all about it tomorrow! For now, enjoy photos from the older half at the lake yesterday and Peter Boie!
