What’s good HVC Families!
Just like the campers yesterday, I had a wonderful lazy day off from the typical camp schedule.
For those of you curious, my chiropractic appointment went incredibly well, and my back is official “back” to normal. Now, I’m more than excited to get back to digging my usual holes around camp to keep an extra eye out for each of the campers.
When I returned, Pippin the alpaca filled me in on the happenings in my absence.
Following the activities of Junk Food Day on Wednesday, campers spent their lazy day Thursday in pajamas for PJ Day.
They began their morning hanging out in the backyard and going down the water slide by the dining hall, and ended their evening with a movie.
They also got the opportunity to sign up for their next round of classes, including several new additions such as Kendama, World Record Breaking, Podcast, and Science Magic.
And let us not forget the taco dinner! Campers got to choose toppings and create their own soft shell tacos, to be followed by a dessert of the dining hall’s always delicious brownies. Taco ’bout a great end to a great day.
Today, campers will begin their first day of classes after signing up for their new schedule. I can’t wait to hop in on the World Record Breaking. I’m great at sticking to a goal and just gophering for it.
Campers will also get the opportunity to sign up for HVC’s Valley Fest, the camper talent show, today at interest groups. I can’t wait to watch all of the fantastic acts that our talented campers have to offer.
For evening program, campers will enjoy another night of Electives, which means I have to start setting up my gopher holes strategically for another round of Capture the Flag.
No way I’m letting the other team capture the win.
XOXO,
Gopher Girl
