Hey there! Sadie the Llama back again!
Last night’s evening program was the Star Dance! Each neighborhood gathered in a different spot at camp and hit the dance floor! We were jamming and dancing in the backyard/gazebo, in the rec hall field and down near the pool. It was a blast! On top of all the dancing there was was face painting (always a big hit!) and rock planet creations.
Today for the fourth of July we have some of our classic HVC traditions. Lillian always makes a beautiful fourth of July cake for us all to devour after dinner! Personally, I’m quite looking forward to that one! This Llama has QUITE a sweet tooth. At morning meeting Meg, Peter, and Elise led us in singing “If I had a Hammer,” another camp fave. Then Peter spent a few minutes talking about the history of camp and the land that it occupies. He acknowledged the Wabanaki tribe as the forebearers of the camp.
Over and out!
