Hey you guys!
Campers had tremendous fun yesterday evening running around, competing and cheering on their cabin-mates at Llamapalooza at Deer Meadows…the hills were alive!! (See photos below…) At the energetic finale, Bermuda Triangle snagged the champion title for the counselor ‘Wake-up’ challenge – impressive!
Today, we’re commencing our third day of classes being silly, free, creative and simply (gloriously) kids. This evening, we’re looking forward to the first of a camp favorite activity, Electives!!
When the bell rings, each camper will choose from a variety of programs including but not limited to capture the flag (divided between younger and older halves), a glass elective with pro-staff, campfire cooking, spa night and more.
Looking ahead, tomorrow is our first Lazy Day of the session! The day will feature cabin cleanups and HVC-style inspections, on-camp activities themed ‘hydration’ for younger half and ‘game show’ for older, classic pool activities and a special folk music performance to close out with good vibes.
On a(n important) side note, the Blueberry Field is in bloom and thriving – see proof below!! Our Blueberry Field Fun class is taking full advantage while other campers will have the chance to visit during Interest Groups in the coming weeks 🙂 As the summer progresses, these Maine-staple gems will only continue to ripen…
Have a fruitful day,
