Fitness, Silly Songs, and ALOHA TUESDAY!

ALOHA! IT’S TUESDAY!!

It’s Mag-O-Llama here, and I’ve got some updates for all of you! Here at HVC, we are having another very schvitzy day.  On the bright side, the humans here at camp are all wearing their Aloha Tuesday gear, which is a camp tradition here at HVC, and are thinking about how all of you would have been here yesterday for our first day of classes! At camp, we normally spend lots of time singing silly songs, playing outside, and getting our bodies moving! Even though we are not all together, you can still do these activities and follow along with the PD’s!  You can watch our “at home with HVC” workout, or sing along to the Princess Pat! Click the link here!!

THE PRINCESS PAT

call and response

The Princess Pat
First infantry
She sailed across
The seven seas
She sailed across
The channel too
And she brought with her
A rickandandoo

Chorus:
A rickendandoo
Now what is that
It’s something made
By the Princess Pat
It’s red and gold
And purple too
That’s why it’s caaaaaaalled
A rickandandoo

Now CaptainJack
Hadamightyfine crew
He sailed across
The channel too
And his ship sank
And yours will too
If you don’t take
A rickandandoo

…chorus

Now Captain Kirk
He was no jerk
And Mr. Spock
He was no jock
And their ship flew
And yours will too

If you take
A rickandandoo

…chorus

After all of that singing, I’m feeling very inspired to learn a few more camp songs! Who knew that llamas could sing! I think that I’m on a fast track to becoming the first llama on Broadway!! If you want to learn some more of HVC’s famous sing along songs, you can go to our HVC songbook! Do you have a favorite song or activity here at camp? Let us know what it is! We are still looking for your help with our morning meeting announcements on Instagram! Send your submissions to [email protected] or [email protected] to be featured!

I’m off to go sneak some snacks from the dining hall! I heard there might be cookies (:

Hey You Guys!!! Calling All Campers for our Videos!

Monday, June 29th, 2020

Salutations, earthlings!!

This morning I woke up bright and early and walked outside of the Llama pen, and then I quickly went back inside because of the heavy schvitz! (it doesn’t rain here at HVC, it only Schvitzes.) After a cup of Llama coffee and coming up with a plan to take on this schvitzy day, I started painting the puddles outside to lift everyones mood!!

The PD’s have been hard at work, creating more content for HVC at home! Our most recent Youtube videos, the PD intro and the HVC tour video, are now up on our YouTube page! Click the link embedded above, or search “Hidden Valley Camp,” in the Youtube search box to find our videos.

Are you looking to get more involved in our videos this summer? We need YOUR help for morning announcements like saying, “Hey you guys!” or even a video of your favorite “thought-dejour,” If you have a submission, please email [email protected] or [email protected]! We can’t wait to see what you come up with! Get creative!!

As I mentioned last time we had a chat, the crew here this summer have dedicated their Sunday’s to making wood-fire pizzas for community members that live near camp! Check out some pictures from last night to see our safe and fun process of making the pizzas! (I got some leftovers and they ROCKED!)

Well, I’m off to go paint more puddles! Until next time, my dear friends.

Peace, Love, and Llama Hugs,

Mag-O-Llama.

Otis, Pizza, and Tik Tok Fame!

Thursday, June 25th, 2020

What’s kickin’, little chickens? It’s me, Mag-O-Llama, and I’ve got some weekly updates to share with you all that I’m super excited about!

As most of you know, HVC has created a Tik Tok account so we can share more engaging and fun camp content with you all. Recently, one of our videos featuring PD Celie reached over 10,200 views!!! We are so happy that these videos are reminding you of the magical wonders of camp, and that we are able to share that magic with so many others.

Up at the animal barn, Otis has been orchestrating something HUGE! He has hired his own personal staff, he bought a new tuxedo and he has been using the office for some “personal work.” Do you have any idea what he could be doing??? Otis says that he will release more information regarding his “secret plan,” next Wednesday! Stay tuned for his big announcement!

This Sunday, the folks here in our camp bubble will be starting a pizza initiative for community members in the surrounding communities near camp! On Sundays, we will be making free pizzas for families in our fire oven, as a way to give back to the communities who give so much to us! Have you thought about ways that you and your families can give back to the communities you live in? We’ve got a few ideas! You could donate food items to your local food pantry, pick up trash and litter at a local park, go shopping for at-risk folks or elderly members in your neighborhood, or even do something from your computer, like donating funds or time to a local organization. Down at the Llama pen, I’ve been writing thank-you notes to everyone who is taking care of us this summer! It sure does feel good to help others.

On that note, I’ve got to run! It’s almost time for my mid-day picnic with Hamilton!

Peace, Love, and Llama Hugs,

Mag-O-Llama.

Behind the Scenes With Mag-O-Llama!

Saturday, June 20th, 2020

Hi guys! It’s Mag-O-Llama here with a VERY exciting update!

Have you ever wanted to go behind the scenes of your favorite movie? or know how your favorite content on Tik Tok is being made? These kinds of questions have been on my mind all week. I wanted to make my llama dreams come true, so I asked Peter and Meg if I could come to HVC’s filming set so I could see how the magic is being made, and guess what! They said I could hang out for a day to share what I saw with you all!!

When I first walked on set, I was immediately transported into a wonderland of tech gadgets! Normally here at camp, we try not to be on our technology all day, but when it comes to creating the best content for you all this summer, we had to do a little upgrading. PD James was using this cool contraption called a Go-Pro, and he is using it to film some exciting camper content! I think that it looks fantastic! Stay tuned for some awesome footage coming soon.

In case you haven’t heard, the PD’s even started an HVC Tik Tok!!! Meg’s tick talk, which we all know is very important here at camp, was posted on Tik Tok earlier this week! If you haven’t watched it yet, you should go check it out. Be on the lookout for another awesome Tik Tok that is coming out today. I can’t tell you exactly what It is, but what I can tell you is that it will make you laugh your socks off!

Despite all of the talk about social media, filming, and technology, we all should try and find time this week to get outside and enjoy the warmth of the sun! I know I’ve been enjoying laying in the sandpit to cool off on a warm day! We’ve been having lots of them.

Don’t forget to look at the pictures below to see all of the on-set action!

Peace, Love, and Llama Hugs!
